Having two campuses ensures that we can accommodate students interested in participating in an Arts Core learning environment. Every effort is made to offer similar programming to students on each campus. This reality helps to shape not only a shared theme for both schools, but also shared staff, shared leadership, shared professional learning, shared pedagogy and shared philosophy. /component/content/article/164-rokstories/224-multi-campus-model /datafiles/images/frontpage/feature2.jpg Arts Core We believe that learning - just like imagination - has no boundaries. They require a program that is flexible, creative, and challenging to address their rapidly changing world that is filled with new problems as well as exciting new possibilities. The 21st Century requires knowledge generation and research, rather than simply knowledge delivery; it requires the creation of a culture of inquiry. Our students are digital learners who use technological and multimedia tools to address this culture of inquiry. /component/content/article/164-rokstories/216-21st-century-learning

Principal’s Message

Welcome to Mount Royal•Virginia Park Arts Core Schools. We are a multi-campus sharing one Arts Core Program program.

We believe that imagination inspires the love of learning, and that the arts are essential to a rich and meaningful education. The Arts Core program provides arts-oriented programming that emphasizes art, music, drama and dance as enrichment to the Alberta curriculum.

We believe that creativity, ingenuity, and innovation are the keys to success in the evolving global community. Therefore, we encourage our students to build the creative capacity to think unconventionally, question the norm, and imagine new perspectives.

We are committed to improving student achievement, and we believe that the Arts provide the perfect vehicle to support and encourage learning. At Mount Royal•Virginia Park Arts Core Schools, we create a learning environment that supports student achievement and encourages creativity on both campuses.

We believe in the Tribes program and all staff are fully trained.  The mission of Tribes is to assure the healthy and whole development of every child so that each has the knowledge, skills, and resiliency to be successful in a rapidly changing world.  You will notice the common language that occurs across both campuses.

In partnership with our parents and community, we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment that enables all of our students to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically and culturally.

We have an outstanding, dedicated staff with high expectations for student achievement and behaviour. We are proud to have supportive parents and positive, caring and creative children as partners in learning. Parent involvement is an essential part of our success, and we value the participation of parents as members of our learning community.

The heart of our school lies in the joy to play, the passion to create, and the commitment to community. We invite you to visit our schools to learn more about what we offer.
